Sexually Transmitted Infections
What are the Risks?
It's real easy to get caught up in the moment with a girl or guy you really like. You're all alone, you're both turned-on, and the last thing you want to do is say "hold on, I've got to go grab a condom."
Maybe the problem is that you're looking at protection as getting in the way of your pleasure. Condoms don't take away from the mood or the feeling, and yes, you'll still get an orgasm. But if you find condoms to be a drag in your relationship, there are a few things you can try:
- Incorporate your condom into foreplay, so that it doesn't feel like an interruption.
- If you're a guy, ask your partner to put it on for you.a major turn-on.
- Or, skip the conversation altogether, and just put it on. If you're a girl and your guy doesn't have one, pull yours out of your purse and just put it on him!
The fact is, the irresponsible choices you make now can definitely affect your health, and the health of your partner, for a long time in the future. You're taking huge risks by not protecting yourself.
