    The purpose of The Kinsey Institute's site is to support interdisciplinary research and the study of human sexuality. The Institute was founded by Dr. Alfred Kinsey (1894-1956) in 1947.

    The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality is dedicated to the advancement of knowledge of sexuality through research and education.
     
  • The Alan Guttmacher Institute [USA]
    The mission of The Alan Guttmacher Institute is to protect and expand the reproductive choices of all women and men in freedom and dignity. Available information includes sexual behaviour, pregnancy and birth, prevention and contraception, abortion, STDs, and youth.
     
  • The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation [USA]

    Affiliated with The Hospital for Sick Children, this site is organized to follow the natural course of pregnancy and baby development, from preconception, through pregnancy and birth, until the baby’s first birthday.
  • Common Questions about Sexual Health Education/ SIECCAN [CAN]
    A document prepared by the Sex Information and Education Council of Canada that summarizes the research on the methods, philosophy and impact of sexual health education in schools.
  • Parent Website/ teachingsexualhealth.ca[CAN]
    This site, developed by Alberta educators and health professionals, contains information for parents about sexuality and the sexual development of children and offers tips on how to talk to children and teens about sexual issues.
  • Canadian Federation for Sexual Health [CAN]
    The parents section of the CFSH website has tips on how to talk to children about sexuality issues including age appropriate information, safer sex, pregnancy and birth control.
  • Planned Parenthood Federation of America [USA]
    The "Health Info" section includes various resources on parenting, covering such topics as how to talk to kids about sexuality, relationship issues, kids and AIDS, sexual orientation and gender issues.
  • Families are Talking [USA]
    A project of SIECUS (The Sex Information and Education Council of the United States), this site provides parents and caregivers with information and tools to help facilitate communication with children about sexuality issues; includes the "Families are Talking" newsletter and links to SIECUS resources such as annotated bibliographies, reports and fact sheets.
